Long before Continuing Professional Development became
mandator y for all lawyers in this Province, the Ontario
Bar Association provided current, practical, dynamic CPD
programming in 38 different legal practice areas. The OBA's
annual Institute is the single largest Professional Development
event in the country. I believe it's important for young lawyers
to stay abreast of the knowledge necessary to stay on the top
of their game. Aside from the CPD hours, OBA programs are
presented by the best of the best, which gives me a competitive
edge. Every course is up-to-date, useful, and has direct
application to my day-to-day practice. All to say, while the
courses stimulate my brain, OBA membership is a no-brainer.
