Practical Law is a company that provides know-how content to the legal community. Know-how content takes legal information and distils it in a way that helps lawyers get their work done. Practical Law provides a range of web services, each covering an important area of practice, including continually maintained practice notes, documents with detailed drafting notes, updates with practical analysis, as well as archives of useful articles. Carswell is excited to launch a new series of Practical Law products in Canada. Practical Law Canada Transactional and Practical Law Canada Litigation products will offer practical information and precedents to help transactional lawyers, civil litigators and corporate counsel do their work more efficiently and effectively. To support this new product line, we're looking for several talented team players with experience in corporate/securities, M&A or personal injury litigation and who share our vision for the future of legal services. • Are you a lawyer with 5 to 7 years' experience working in Corporate, M&A or Securities, or as a personal injury litigator? Do you have excellent drafting and writing skills, strong analytical, problem-solving and issue resolution skills, and strong planning and organizational skills? Do you have a good understanding of the needs and priorities of law firms and in-house counsel and the legal market? If so, you may have what it takes to fill one of five Lawyer Editor (Senior) positions (three permanent and two 12-month contracts) to draft valuable know-how Transactional or Litigation content. • Are you a lawyer with a 3 years' experience working in Corporate, M&A or Securities, or as a personal injury litigator? Can you write about complex legal issues clearly and simply? Do you demonstrate the ability to react with urgency and devote high levels of time and energy where deadlines require? If this describes your skills, you may be ideal for one of two Lawyer Editor positions (permanent) needed to support this new product suite.
